Episode #1 sees Harry from @firetofork show us how to make the perfect bush big mac that we reckon is better than the original...
First grab your mince and make some patties. I'm going to squish them out. Then grab your pan, put it on the heat, and get it warm.
While you're doing that, it’s good time to have a refreshing coldy.
You don't to put any oil in the pan because there's enough fat in the mince.
Once it feels pretty hot, get the patties on. That sizzle as you put it on is exactly what we're after.
Now, while that's going, salt one side of the pattie. Bit of pepper. Once it's been on there for a few seconds, you're going to need to flip it. You want to see a nice browned side.
Next is the cheese. If you want to make it taste like a big American burger, you've got to use big American cheese. Harry recommends Dairylea Burger Slices.
Next grab the rest of our ingredients. While that's cooking, chop up the onion.
Now, cut the bun open. The first step is a bed of lettuce. Just a little bit. Not all of it, just a little bit.
Then add your patties, the cheese is not going to be fully melted.
Then the step where things get a little bit tricky. You get a bit of this Heinz Burger Sauce. You want to add a tiny drop of sesame oil, which has quite a strong flavour, just adds this real richness and depth and makes it taste like a real Big Mac.
Next, throw a bit of your raw onion on. And finally whack on a whole bunch of pickles.
And that is a Big Mac in the bush. That takes all of five minutes, give it a go!
