Ordering and Payment

We sure do, our retail and distribution centre is located on the Sunshine Coast in Coolum Beach. Some of our products are stocked by select outdoor product based retailers whose philosophy to camping and outdoor adventure aligns with ours here at Crashpad. You can find a list of these retailers under the 'Stockists' section here.

No, we believe purchasing online should be as simple and easy as visiting any bricks and mortar retail store, thus we will not make you create an account simply to purchase one of our great products.

All of our online price are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Our store will accept the payments via the following gateways:

Credit cards - Visa, Mastercard & AMEX. Paypal, Afterpay and Zippay

When you reach the checkout page you will be presented with the available payment options from which to choose.

The below extract is from the Afterpay website:

Afterpay does not approve 100% of orders. We are committed to ensuring we support responsible spending.

When determining which orders to approve, our automated system considers a number of different factors. As an example, the longer you have been a customer with Afterpay and the more orders you have successfully repaid, the more likely you will be able to spend more.

Things to consider:

- are there sufficient funds on your card (generally we look to see 25% of the order value available to spend)

- length of time you have been using Afterpay (tighter in the first 6 weeks)

- amount you have to repay, it may help to pay some off (not a guarantee)

- the value of the order you are trying to place, it may help to reduce the value of your shopping cart (not a guarantee)

- adding a credit card may increase your spending power (not a guarantee)

- the number of orders you currently have 'open' with us (not a guarantee)

Whilst we know it can be frustrating to not know exactly how much you can spend each time or how many active orders you can have, our rules and approval process help Afterpay responsibly offer a completely free service to our customers.

Shipping and Delivery

Yep, we sure do, except for a few big-ticket items: Double Swags, Stretchers, and Awnings. Those are too large for Australia Post’s limits, so they’ll go via courier to a street address. Everything else can go straight to your PO Box without a hitch.

Absolutely. If it’s safe to do so, we’ll leave your parcel in a secure spot at your address. If you’d rather sign for it, just note that in the order comments and we’ll make sure it’s signature on delivery.

If something goes sideways with delivery, we’ll work with the courier to sort it out, we don’t hit our customers with surprise re-delivery fees. That’s not how we roll.

  • Australian-made gear: around 7 business days on average. We build this gear ourselves on the Sunshine Coast, so timing depends on production flow.
  • In-stock gear: usually gets sent out the next business day.

You’ll get a tracking email as soon as it’s on its way.

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on size, weight, and your location.
We don’t bake shipping costs into product prices, what you see at checkout is what it costs us to get it to you.

You sure can. Once your order leaves our HQ, you’ll get a tracking link so you can follow it all the way to your door (or campsite).

We generally process and pack orders ready for dispatch by 2:00pm (GMT+10). The best way to update an address on your order is via info@crashpadgear.com or give us a call on 1300 003 060 and we'll do our best to help you out.

Please note we cannot update an address on an order that has been dispatched.

Technical Support

Condensation occurs when there is a difference between the inside and outside temperatures of a confined space and there is a waterproof barrier between them. For example, on cold nights when you have the heater on in your house the inside of your windows develop condensation. This scenario also extends to the use of swags and tents. No swag design can eliminate condensation but you can minimize the chance of condensation by slightly opening the window of the swag to enable airflow on cold nights.

To clean the canvas and PVC base of your swag use cold water and a soft brush or sponge. You should also clean the zippers on a regular basis by using a soft brush and also wiping with a damp cloth.

DO NOT use or expose the swag to any of the following which may lead to damage of the swag materials; soap or detergents, insect or pesticide aerosol sprays, petrols, oils, solvents or similar such products, incompatible water repellents. Exposure of your swag to any of these items will void your warranty.

Make sure your swag is thoroughly dry before storing, this will prevent mildew forming. Store it in a dry place off the floor and out of direct sunlight. In the event that you must pack your swag while still wet, as soon as you get to your next camp or arrive back home, erect the swag and let it thoroughly dry out before storing it away until your next adventure.

Yes, to waterproof your swag, set it up, remove the mattress and thoroughly soak the exterior canvas with water focusing on the seams and stitching. Doing this allows the thread and canvas to swell thus taking up any potential leaks in the stitching. Allow to dry, particularly the seams. It is the drying that seals the seams. Repeat this process twice to completely ensure the seams are waterproof.

Your swag will arrive with a full set of instructions that explain this process in detail.
